6 months agoI dont understand what happened in the new year but I have never had an issue picking up my son's medication before just like I have every month before, same medication, same insurance as always but I went to pick up his meds and after waiting an hour in line they said he had no insurance at all in thier system even though I know 100% he has the same coverage. I called his insurance provider and they verified he had insurance they even called the pharmacy to tell them he had insurance and give the info. My insurance provider said that HEB switched systems or something so that it is a problem on their end. She was able to get his prescription filled and I called to see if they had it and they did have it. I was not able to get his meds right away so I called the day before I was gonna pick it up to see if they still had it and if I could pick it up on the next day and they said yes it would be available. I drive to heb wait in line for another hour when they tell me they don't have his medication and they sent it back. I spoke with the supervisor and she was very rude and told me they could fill it but I need to get back in line and wait another 45 minutes or how ever many cars were in line at the time. I tried explaining to her the issue that I've been having with getting his meds filled and she just did not care, she cut me off and walked away.

10 months agoWhen will HEB correct the serviceability at the very busy pharmacy. The lack of check out lines or employees causes daily lengthy lines outside and inside the store. This has been going on for over a year. It would be awesome to renovate for additional check out lines and reasonable amount of staff on hand.

7 months agoHorrible service! Especially if you take any kind of prescription narcotics. They won't fill them until after 11am on the due date and then are ready at about 3pm. If you take meds three times a day you will miss your first two doses of the day bc of them treating you like less than the rest of the customers.

6 months agoI’ve used HEB pharmacy for decades, but they’ve lost my business as of tonight. Although my insurance is accepted by HEB, the pharmacy says my plan is invalid. No other provider, including other pharmacies in town, have had issues. My insurance company has repeatedly told me the error is with the pharmacy, but when I pointed this out to the rep, she just shrugged and then told me it would be $360 for meds to help my kid breathe.

a year agoI placed my refill order on 12/31 to give pharmacy staff sufficient time to fill my order. I called today, 1/6, to check the status. I was told there is a backorder on this particular medication. The staff indicated they received a shipment a few days ago but the medication went "pretty quickly." When I asked if they had my name on a waitlist, she indicated it was first come first serve for priority customers and my refill request was invalid. Essentially, its whoever shows up on the day they receive a shipment, gets the medication. HEB it's 2023, get it together. We use the technology available to make reasonable requests for refills in a timely manner. If you have "hard to get medications," have a strategic plan in place to ensure fairness and accessibility. We are all priority customers and some of us do not have the availability to "hang out" at the pharmacy waiting for shipments to come in. Her only ingenious solution, for me to call the pharmacy every morning to see if a shipment has come in. This is a major pharmacy chain, I should not have to change pharmacies to get adequate or fair practice and service.
