Charming atmosphere and clean, with friendly service. The overall feel does a good job of approximating the feel of a cafe in France. This restaurant will make fried food lovers happier, though the breading was markedly bland and lacking much flavor. That said, both the frog legs and the sole (fish) were juicy and tender, just uninteresting. All of the vegetables we received were remarkably low quality for the prices we paid. The tomatoes were pale grocery store things with no life in them; the asparagus was both burnt and over-steamed until stringy and mushy. The rice needed salt. The saving graces for the meal were the bread rolls before the meal, the French onion soup (the most authentic I've found in ABQ as yet), and the cappuccino. In all, for $86+ for one entree ($29, split and charged an extra $5 for the service, so $34), a soup and salad, and one appetizer for the quality? I can't recommend Le Troquet, especially when one can get fantastic salads for similar prices ($16 at Vinaigrette, for example), or great fish with similar freshness at far lower cost and greater quality (Slap Fish $15 vs $29). The service was well-turned-out and friendly, but given the small restaurant and limited number of guests, I would have liked to have had our water topped off at least once and to not have had to ask for silverware more than once. If you are intent on French cuisine or prefer little to no seasoning, give this a try. Otherwise, I cannot recommend it.

We stopped in for lunch and we were pleased with our dining experience. The ambiance is reminiscent of a small cafe you'd see in France. There was a French speaking person should a translator was needed. The menu was simple but each item was prepared to perfection with the right amount of flavouring, there was not need for added salt and pepper at the table. We tried the following: Appetiser: Smoked Fish Platter (smoked salmon, smoked trout, candied onions with their own prepared gourmet tartar with toasted baguette) Entree: Grilled Pork Tenderloin and the special Chicken Cordon Bleu. Both were flavourful and tender! Overall, we were pleased and a place to try for either lunch or dinner.

Went for my birthday, returning for our anniversary. I loved the food on my first visit, and have been hoping to return ever since. Everything was cooked to perfection, the bread is delicious, I had scallops (had been craving em for months) they were big enough for just a few to be filling with the thoughfully portioned rice and veggies. The steak and fries my boyfriend ordered were also magnifique. I will order creme brulee anywhere that serves it, but theirs is above and beyond. Make a reservation! We made a reservation a few days in advance, and didn't wait more than a minute or two to be seated. Customers who came in without reservations were also seated while we were there, but be aware there are about 10 tables or less, depending on party sizes, so I wouldn't walk in off the street expecting to be guaranteed a table. Je t'aime les restaurants fraçais! Je visite la ville de Cannes en 2018, et j'etudie français tous le jours pour cinq ans maintenant. Le chef du Le Troquet est tres bien, c'est mon restaurant préféré en Nouveau Mexique. Update: went for brunch. Mimosa bar (a bottle if rose, juice n 2 flutes) was 25$ and plenty for 2. I had a vegetarian crepe, the bf had the steak and fries again (he loves it). Ashley was our server, he is very kind, thoughtful and very BUSY! He's serving all the tables as well as answerimg the phone but takes time to make sure everything comes out perfect. MERCI to Ashley & Le Troquet, compliments to the chef and the sous chef!

Came here while back with a friend for lunch . So charming, I LOVED the atmosphere. It is small, limited seating so I recommend making a reservation. The food was delicious, I had one of the specials , and I was surprised the portions were bigger than I expected. The service was very good. Will definitely be back , would love to bring my mom.

The website is very misleading with regard to the menu. The service left something to be desired. It took 13 minutes to get someone's attention to get a knife for my meal, and apparently I was to eat my piece of pie with a spoon, because a fork was not provided. The food was adequate, but uninspiring. The pie tasted like it came from a grocery store. It was worth a try, but this restaurant falls far short of a quality french experience.

Le Troquet Bistro in downtown Albuquerque is one of the best in fine dining cuisine. The ambiance will have you feeling like you just arrived in Paris, the service is outstanding and Chef Jean Pierre concocts some of the best dishes around. I tried a little bit of everything, starting with an appetizer and ending with dessert. It was all amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Le Troquet!
